Arne Leinse, PhD – CEO
Arne Leinse has been active in integrated optics for more than 20 years. He received a PhD degree from the University of Twente in the integrated Optical Microsystems group in 2005. Hereafter he joined LioniX BV where he was involved in the invention and development of the TriPleX™ platform from the beginning. He has been involved from the original concept until the exploitation and (co)authored over 100 articles in the last years. He has been active as Vice-President of LioniX BV in the last years and since the establishment of LioniX-international in 2016 active in the role of Chief Commercial Officer. Since January 2020 Arne is active in the role of CEO, leading the Management Team.
Douwe Geuzebroek, PhD – VP Marketing & Sales
Douwe Geuzebroek studied Electrical Engineering at University of Twente and graduated MSc in 2001 at the Telematics Systems and Services Group, with a major in telecommunication networks and a minor in Technical Business Administration. After that he started his Ph.D. research at the Integrated Optical MicroSystems group, which he finished in 2005 on the topic of “Flexible Optical Network Components based on Densely Integrated Micro-ring Resonators”. In addition, he finished an introduction program at the TSM Business School. In 2005 he joined LioniX B.V. as a design engineer and project leader focusing on micro-ring resonators and other integrated optical telecommunication devices, and was actively involved in the start-up of XiO Photonics in 2008. He acted as VP of Marketing and Sales, and was involved in the acquisition of new commercial and research projects.
Paul van Dijk, PhD, MBM – VP Strategy and Innovation
received his MSc. (1992) and Ph.D. (1997) in Applied Physics from the Technical University Eindhoven in the field of materials science and materials characterization using high energy ion beam analysis techniques. Paul holds a Master of Business Marketing (MBM) from TIAS Nimbas School where he graduated in 2002. He started in 1997 at High Voltage Engineering Europe (HVEE) as R&D Engineer using High-Energy Accelerator Mass Spectrometry for Carbon and Iodine dating applications and build up the AMS facility of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) in Mutsu. Since 1999 he worked 11 years at ASML and was responsible for new business development and product marketing at the Special Applications and 300mm Business Units. As co-founder of SATRAX (2010), Paul acted as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and was responsible for Supply chain management, Business development and marketing of the integrated microwave photonics products.
René Heideman, PhD – CTO
René G. Heideman received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands, in August 1988 and January 1993, respectively. He is an Expert in the field of MST, based on more than 25 years of experience. He specializes in integrated optics (IO), covering both (bio-) chemical sensing and telecom applications. He is the Inventor of the TriPleX technology, (co)author of more than 250 papers and holds more than 25 patents in the IO-field, on more than 10 different subjects. From 2001 to 2016, he was the CTO of LioniX BV, which he co-founded in 2001. Since 2016, he has been the CTO of LioniX International BV. Since 2008, he is the board member (CTO) with Panthera BV, a group of high-tech innovative companies focusing on creating new business based on micro/nanotechnology. He is a member of several Dutch and European steering committees.
