Account Manager – Integrated Photonics
Job description
As Account Manager – Integrated Photonics, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their technical and business needs, and matching them with our cutting-edge solutions. You will play a key role in driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and acting as the primary commercial interface between our company and clients.
Key responsibilities
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts while acquiring new clients
• Develop a deep understanding of customers’ applications and requirements in integrated photonics
• Translate technical opportunities into commercial proposals, working closely with product development and engineering teams
• Build long-term partnerships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Prepare account plans, forecasts, and sales reports
• Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and conferences
Your team
You will be part of the Marketing and Sales team, the billboard of the company. This team is responsible for outgoing communication, attending events/exhibitions, and the logistics needed for this. The goal is to increase LioniX’s sales and brand awareness. The small but dynamic team has enthusiastic team members who want to make an impact on the future of the company. Moreover, you will interact with a lot of colleagues from other teams.
What we are looking for
• A MSc. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field.
• At least 3+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management, preferably in photonics, semiconductors, or optics.
• Strong technical affinity and ability to discuss complex technologies with customers
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proactive, entrepreneurial, commercial mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Knowledge and experience of the defence ecosystem is a plus
Languages
• Fluent in English
• Dutch or willing to learn to speak Dutch
