LioniX CEO Arne Leinse featured in BusinessWise Tech30
We are proud to share that our CEO, Arne Leinse, has been selected for the BusinessWise Tech30, recognizing 30 technology professionals who are making a significant contribution to the Dutch technology sector.
In its feature, BusinessWise looks at Arne’s journey from photonics research at the University of Twente to helping develop our proprietary TriPleX® silicon nitride platform and leading LioniX International. The article highlights not only his role in moving integrated photonics from research to commercial applications, but also his contribution to Twente’s wider photonics ecosystem.
From research to real-world applications
Arne has been involved in developing TriPleX® since its early days and has played a key role in translating the technology into solutions for a wide range of applications.
Today, LioniX works with customers and partners across telecommunications, life sciences, sensing, instrumentation, and space, combining photonic chip development with the engineering and integration needed to turn technology into working systems.
The BusinessWise feature also explores how this approach has contributed to new applications, companies, and collaborations emerging from the Twente photonics ecosystem.
Innovation through collaboration
A central theme in the article is Arne’s belief that successful innovation depends on close collaboration between companies, researchers, and technology partners.
Rather than developing individual components in isolation, LioniX works closely with partners across the value chain to address complex technical challenges and bring new technologies closer to practical use.
This collaborative approach extends beyond individual projects. By connecting expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and research across the region, Arne has helped strengthen Twente’s position in the international photonics industry.
We are delighted to see his contributions recognized in the BusinessWise Tech30.
